what’s happening guys today I’m gonna show you how to make some low calorie healthy beef and broccoli in less than 30 minutes and this stuff is actually more delicious than most beef and broccoli that I’ve had at Chinese restaurants and it’s a fraction of the calories so I don’t even know how that’s possible but it is so let’s get cooking all right so the first thing you want to do is coat a pan with nonstick spray and turn down the heat of your stove to low next you’re going to want to add in brown three cloves of minced garlic and while your garlic is browning get out a half a pound or two-thirds of a kilogram of sirloin steak and thinly slice it once all the steak is sliced add it to your pan and turn the heat up to medium now all the beef is cooking we’re going to make the sauce to our beef and broccoli in a measuring cup add a half a cup of soy sauce 1 cup of beef broth 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar now you’ll want to take out a whisk and give your sauce a thorough whisking once your beef is almost cooked through completely like this that’s when we’re going to add the sauce to the pan and turn our stove up to medium-high once we’ve added the sauce to the pan it’s time to make a slurry so to make a slurry we’re going to add 2 tablespoons of cold water and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to a small ramekin and mix those together until the cornstarch is completely dissolved at this point our sauce should be at a rolling boil and that’s actually the perfect time to add the slurry in the pan so once our slurry is in there we’re going to mix everything with the spatula until everything thickens up which is the point of the slurry to thicken the sauce and once everything does thicken we can turn down the heat of the stove below and add in 2 cups of fresh broccoli now we’re just going to give the broccoli a quick stir coated in a bit of sauce and cover our pan for about 10 or 15 minutes to steam the broccoli and once the broccoli is done steaming of course is always enjoy guys question the day guys what’s everyone’s favorite Chinese food let me know in the comments below and my favorite is going to be down there – as far as the macros go on this recipe if you split it up into five servings like you would for a typical meal prep works out to be about 246 calories six and a half grams of fat 21 grams of carbs – which is fiber and 20 six and a half grams of protein that’s for a 200 gram serving in the speech in broccoli anyways that’s going to do it for today I hope you enjoyed the recipe and I’ll catch you the next one
