hey guys obviously I’m Italian which must mean that I love pasta and I do love pasta but what I don’t like about pasta is that it’s really tough to fit it into your diet when you’re trying to lose weight so I’m gonna show you what I like to do deep twice as much pasta for about the same amount of calories I like to use Maria’s veggie spaghetti this is just like regular spaghetti except there’s pureed vegetables inside of it which means you’re going to get some extra vitamins and minerals by using this instead of your regular pasta and getting vitamins and minerals into your diet along with fruits and vegetables is obviously very important when you’re dieting you’re in a quark does so how does that veggie spaghetti help you eat twice as much pasta from the same amount of calories it doesn’t but these tofu shiitake noodles do all you need to know how to do is prep and cook these properly and you’ll I actually trick yourself into thinking your entire plate of spaghetti is real spaghetti instead of half of being these tofu noodles I’ve been doing this for a few years now and I’ll be honest with you guys the first two times that I did this I actually screwed up and didn’t prep these properly and it kind of ruined my spaghetti but I’ll show you right now how to do this without tasting any tofu at all in your pasta the first thing that we’re gonna do is bring four to six quarts of water to a boil with a pinch of salt while you’re waiting for your water to boil rinsed and drained your shirataki noodles in the sink under the hottest setting that you have add a tablespoon of salt while you rinse your noodles this whole bag of tofu shiitake noodles has two servings I like to use no less than a one to one ratio of tofu to regular spaghetti noodles this means for every serving of noodles I use 56 grams of dry pasta I’m gonna be cooking the entire bag of tofu shiitake spaghetti today so I’ll be using a hundred and twelve grams of dry pasta next we’re gonna add our dry pasta to our boiling water and let this boil for about seven to eight minutes we’re then gonna add our shirataki noodles and give them a good mix in with the regular pasta for the last two minutes of oil finally you’re gonna drain your pasta and top it with your favorite low-calorie spaghetti sauce so there you have it guys my little trick to eating twice as much pasta without eating twice as many calories don’t be like me don’t be skeptical of trying these tofu noodles they really are delicious the macros on this pasta really great 2 grams of fat 55 grams of carbs and 12 grams of protein really not a whole lot of protein but if you want to add some protein to this pasta check out my amazing meatball recipe right here they are out of control delicious if you guys try this pasta please let me know in the comments below what you think of it thanks for watching once you learn how to rinse a pot in rinse and rinse and don’t be like me don’t be skeptical this tofu my dog Haley is coming in the kitchen right now so check that out and go outside let’s come on you
