so today we’re making a low-carb keto strawberry smoothie it’s actually a lot more like a strawberry milkshake than it is a smoothie and that’s just because it’s so thick it’s so creamy and there’s so much strawberry deliciousness in this thing you could actually put a straw in your smoothie and the straw doesn’t go anywhere and I think that’s why it reminds me so much more like a milkshake than it is a smoothie but regardless milkshake smoothie is there really much of a difference let me know in the comments what the difference between a smoothie and a milkshake is because I don’t really know if there is one anyways we’re actually going to be adding a ton of strawberry deliciousness to the smoothie without actually adding a ton of strawberries and I got a couple of tricks up my sleeve to do that so that being said let’s get in this one and make this low-carb keto strawberry smoothie alright so first things first you want to get out your blender and your food scale and then you want to get out some unsweetened vanilla almond milk and for today’s recipe we’re gonna be adding two ounces of that stuff to our blender and then we are also gonna add the same amount of heavy whipping cream and the heavy whipping cream serves two purposes first movie number one it’s gonna add fat to the smoothie and then number two it’s gonna add a bunch of creaminess to our smoothie as well and while we’re on the topic of creaminess the next ingredient is gonna add a bunch of that and that is some full fat Greek yogurt with that being said for today’s recipe we’re going to be adding 30 grams or two tablespoons of that stuff to our plunder so now we’re gonna add a ton of strawberry flavor without actually adding a ton of strawberries and we’re doing that by using sugar-free strawberry extract you guys know I love to use fruit extract to add fruit flavor to things today’s strawberry smoothie is no different and what that being said today we’re adding two teaspoons of that strawberry extract to give our smoothie that strawberry flavor so we’re also gonna add some real strawberries to the shake but we’re not gonna add too many because we don’t want to add too many carbs to the smoothie and actually just a couple of medium-sized strawberries about 40 grams worth is really the perfect amount to give it enough strawberry flavor without actually adding too many carbs to the smoothie the next ingredient is totally optional it’s just in hence the pink coloring to our smoothie and that is some red food coloring so I’m just gonna add a couple of drops of that to the blender and then we’re gonna be sweetening the smoothie up without adding any carbs or calories to the smoothie by using your oral I use this all the time most you guys know what it is but confectioner’s your Thrall is wonderful because it just dissolved so well and obviously that’s really an for smoothie recipes like the one we’re making today and the brand that I like to use is work so if you want to pick some of this stuff up there’s a link to grab it in the video description below but for today’s strawberry smoothie recipe we’re gonna be adding just about a tablespoon or 12 grams of that confectioner’s ruther all to our blender and so now at this point we’re just gonna add creaminess one last time to the smoothie by using some protein powder today I’m using ice appears zero carb fed mellow protein powder and we’re just gonna be using 1/3 of a scoop or 10 grams of that stuff to add that creaminess to our smoothie as well as a little bit of sweetness too and then we’re just gonna add a tiny pinch of salt so blender to bring out all the flavor of our strawberry smoothie we’re gonna top everything with a cup of ice and then we’re just gonna pop the top onto our blender blend everything until a thick creamy strawberry milkshake consistency starts to form in our blender once it does you can either drink it right out of the blender or pour it into a glass but that is how to make a low-carbon keto strawberry smoothie so if you want more information about today’s low-carb keto strawberry smoothie recipe check the video description below there’s a ton of info posted down there besides that thank you guys so much for watching I hope you enjoyed the smoothie and I will see you in the next recipe
