so first of all I want to wish you guys a very Happy New Year I hope the beginning of 2019 has been treating you well second of all we’re kind of doing the impossible today today I am showing you how to make Kido banana bread you heard that right we’re making low carbon and bread and we’re not gonna use any bananas so don’t worry about that this stuff is absolutely crazy you would never know that it was Kido banana bread you would never know that it was banana –less banana bread I guarantee you you could trick anybody who you gave this to and they would totally think they were bananas in here but there’s no bananas it’s absolutely bonkers mind-blowing ly crazy cuz I’ll be honestly guys the first time I had this I was just like oh my god this tastes so much like butter bread and then I ate half the loaf in one sitting that’s a true story anyways try it out to do that let’s get it in this one let’s make this banana bread alright so first things first we’re gonna preheat our oven to 350 degrees next you want to get out your food scale a really large bowl and some almond flour my personal favorite is the Bob’s Red Mill almond flour and we’re gonna add a cup and a half of that stuff to our bowl that’s about a hundred and fifty grams once we’ve got all of our almond flour added to the bowl the next thing we’re gonna add is a heaping half a cup of some confectioner’s your throughout the reason we’re using confectioner’s your Thrall is because it dissolves so well guys you could use the granulated but I just personally love to use the confectioner’s and the reason why is just because it’s so versatile so that being said the brand I really like to use is swerve that’s what I’m using in today’s recipe I use it in pretty much all our recipes if you want to pick some of that up there’s a link to grab some in the video description below so we have to make this banana bread rise a little bit and to do that we’re gonna add 1/2 a tbsp of baking powder to the mix and then of course we have to splice our banana bread up so we’re gonna add a half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and then we’re all set to give our dry ingredients a solid whisk until they’re combined with each other once that happens we’re gonna set that bowl aside and we’re gonna take out an even larger bowl and we’re gonna start adding our liquid ingredients to this bowl so the first liquid ingredient we’re gonna add is going to be three large eggs and once those are added we’re gonna take out our whisk and whisk those until they’re combined once those are combined we’re gonna add 3/4 of a stick or 6 tablespoons of melted butter to the bowl along with 1/3 of a cup of some unsweetened vanilla almond milk we’re all gonna add a quarter cup for about 60 grams of full fat sour cream to the mix this is sort of an optional ingredient but I highly encourage you to use it because it’s gonna give your banana bread a super rich maple flavor and it’s also gonna add some sweetness to the banana bread as well so for my banana bread I’m gonna add a tablespoon of calorie-free maple syrup if you want to pick some of this up there’s a link in the video description below to grab it and then speaking of adding flavor there’s obviously no bananas in this banana bread so we’ll want to use some banana extract to add some banana flavor to our bread and we’re gonna add a half a tablespoon of that flavoring for today’s recipe the last thing rounding is a teaspoon of vanilla extract and then we’re gonna get our whisk back out and just combine all of our liquid ingredients together and then once those are combined we’re gonna take our dry ingredients back out we’re gonna add those to the bowl and then we’re gonna fold the dry ingredients and liquid ingredients together with a spatula until everything combines and a thick smooth batter starts to take shape in the bowl so now at this point the batter should be looking good and you want to take out a nine by five bread pen line it with a little bit of parchment paper it’ll just help get the banana bread out of the pan a lot easier and then you want to spray that with a little bit of baking spray just to make sure the banana bread doesn’t stick to the parchment paper itself so now at this point you’re all set and ready to add the batter to the pan and then once all the batter is added the next step is sort of an optional step and that’s just using the toppings of your choice today I’m going with some walnuts I’m actually using a quarter cup of crushed walnuts for the top of my banana bread but you can add whatever you like to your banana bread or you can add nothing at all it’s totally your choice so that being said once you’ve got your banana bread look at how you want it that’s when you want to add it to the stove and bake it for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the banana bread and then I recommend letting the banana bread cool completely in the pan itself and I actually recommend you let it sit overnight it’s really the best way to do this that’s what I did for this banana bread and check this out guys this is what it ended up looking like how perfect does this banana bread look so definitely take me up on my advice on letting the loaf cool completely before you eat it I know it’s tough it’s tempting to eat the loaf when it’s hot because it just it smells so good your whole house is gonna smell like this delicious banana bread loaf but if you could just let it set overnight I know it’s tough to do it does make a world of a difference in terms of the results that you’re gonna get with your banana bread so please take me up on that pro tip but I definitely understand if you if you can’t wait that long you want the full written out recipe with the metric measurements in the macros you can find that stuff in the video description below also down there are links to all the products like the banana extract that I used you can find all that stuff in the video description below as well thank guys so much for watching I will see you in a next recipe [Music]
