hey guys today’s recipe is actually inspired by one like previous recipes healthy turkey Italian sausage sandwiches you can find the video to that recipe right here when I was making those sandwiches I had an aha moment and thought to myself I need to put these inside of a pepper for me Italian sausage peppers and onions well they just go hand in hand it’s like PB&J but for Italians so without further ado I give you my bombtastic turkey Italian sausage stuffed peppers let’s get cooking in a medium sized Bowl we’re gonna add a half a pound of extra lean ground turkey a half a tablespoon of crushed red pepper a half a tablespoon of fennel seeds a half a teaspoon of parsley flakes and a quarter of a teaspoon garlic powder finally a pinch of salt and pepper and give your turkey a good mixer rooney in a separate medium-sized bowl add one cup or 133 grams of chopped onions a third of a cup or 40 grams of chopped zucchini a quarter of a cup or 30 grams of chopped bell peppers and 1 tablespoon of freshly diced garlic and don’t forget another good mixer rooney now we’re going to cook our turkey for just a couple of minutes aside I like to chop it up after the first flip don’t cook your turkey all the way though that’s what the ovens for while you’re cooking your turkey saw Taylor vegetables until they’re nice and caramelized and while your skillets are working away cook 1 cup or eighty six grams of brown rice I’m also going to be distributing one of the quarter cups for 140 grams of fat free mozzarella cheese between my peppers now it’s time to stuff them I’m going to add the brown rice then the turkey then the veggies and finally the cheese I’m then going to repeat the same layers except for the cheese will add that layer in at the very end so make sure to save some add your peppers to a pyrex dish and cover with tin foil bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes once the 45 minutes has passed pull your peppers out of the oven and top them with cheese bake for an additional five minutes and that’s a wrap for today guys I’ve got some to enjoy before I go you know I’ve got to drop the macros on you every pepper will only run you 214 calories 25 grams of carbs one gram of fat and 26 grams of protein these are truly like eating an Italian sausage straight from a festival without all the bread and all the fat questions or suggestions please leave in the comments below and it’s always thanks for watching

How To Make Healthy Italian Sausage Stuffed Peppers Recipe
In a medium sized bowl add:
1/2 pound extra lean ground turkey
1/2 Tbsp crushed red pepper
1/2 Tbsp fennel
1/2 tsp parsley
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Pinch of salt and pepper
In another medium sized bowl add
1 Cup (133g) chopped onion
1/3 Cup (40g) chopped zucchini
1/4 Cup (30g) chopped green bell pepper
and 1 Tbsp freshly diced garlic
Cook 1 cup (86g uncooked) of brown rice
Cook turkey halfway through. While the turkey is cooking sauté your vegetables.
Measure out 1 1/4 cups (140g) fat-free mozzarella
Now it’s time to stuff them:
Add the brown rice, then the turkey, then the veggies, and finally the cheese. Then repeat the same layers, except for the cheese….add that layer at the very end, so save some.
Add your peppers to a pyrex dish and cover with tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes has passed pull your peppers out of the oven and top them with the saved cheese.
Bake for 5 more minutes
