what’s up guys I’m a bit more excited than usual for today’s recipe because this is episode number one of a new series I’m calling month of mud cakes I think September is the perfect month to upload 20 different healthy mud cake recipes and I’m gonna be uploading new episodes every Tuesday through Friday for five straight weeks I hope you’re as excited for this is I am because I think this is gonna be pretty epic if you make a mug cake I definitely want to see it and I’m sure a lot of people who follow the channel will also want to see it so if you have Instagram use the hashtag month the mug cakes in your post and don’t forget to tag me in it my name is somewhere down there as well let’s kick things off of this amazing apple pie inspired mug cake and get cooking we are making an apple pie mug cake so start off by dicing and caramelizing a quarter of an apple while the apple is caramelizing we want to get together our dry ingredients the first ingredient we’re gonna add is three tablespoons or 30 grams of self-rising flour next 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar substitute and 1/8 of a teaspoon cinnamon this is totally optional but I like to add in a third of a scoop vanilla whey protein powder now for the wet ingredients first up is one whole egg next add in two tablespoons or 30 grams of unsweetened applesauce one and a half tablespoons of the milk of your choice and a quarter teaspoon vanilla extract and mix until well combined once combined spray a different mug with nonstick spray and add in half your batter now go ahead and drop in half of your caramelized apples save the other half for a topic and pour the rest of your batter over your apples now microwave for about a minute and enjoy alright guys so it doesn’t get much better than that you have pie you have cake all rolled up into one recipe it’s so quick and easy to do plus it’s healthy the macros 282 calories 4 grams of fat 41 grams of carbs 2 of which are fiber and 18 grams of protein I hope you enjoyed the first episode of a month of mug cakes there are plenty more amazing mug cake recipes coming right up and thanks for watching

Instructions and Macros:
Dice and caramelize 1/4 apple (30g)

In a small bowl add
1/4 Cup (30g) self rising flour
2 tsp (8g) sugar substitute – or more to taste
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Optional – 1/3 scoop (10g) vanilla whey protein powder
Mix to combine

Add In your wet ingredients –
1 Whole egg
2 Tbsp (30g) unsweetened applesauce
1 1/2 Tbsp (22mL) milk of your choice
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Mix until well combine

Spray a mug with non-stick oil
Pour in half your batter
Now drop in half of your caramelized apples
Pour the rest of the batter in your mug
Microwave for around 1 minute
