what’s going on guys today I’m sure to make your own Lenny and Larry inspired birthday cake protein cookie now for me there’s a few things that I just can’t stand about Lenny and Larry cookies number one the price is just outrageous on those cookies number two it’s really just a regular cookie with a little bit of added protein to it and number three which sort of relates to number two is just that the calories and those cookies are sort of fine they’re really not background friendly when it comes down to it so today the birthday cake cookie bat I’m going to show you how to make its way cheaper than buying one of those cookies in the store it has 1/3 of the calories compared to Lenny’s and Larry’s birthday cake cookie it has more protein it has a fifth of the fat it’s just way better in general so let’s make this cookie let’s get cooking all right so for this recipe you’re definitely gonna want to use a food scale so if you don’t have a food scale you can grab one in the video description below you’re also gonna want to take out a small bowl and then you’re gonna want to add a heaping tablespoon of coconut flour next you’re gonna add a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a teaspoon of the liquid sweetener of your choice however if you’re using liquid stevia I definitely think you’ll need more than a teaspoon so just keep that in mind you’ll also want to add a tablespoon of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and a pinch of salt now take a spatula and mix those ingredients until crumbly once they’re crumbly just for your hand with a little baking spray this is a pro tip guys just so that the ingredients don’t stick to your hand as much and that way you can work your dough a little bit easier so once your cookie dough starts to form that’s when you can start rolling it out into the shape of a cookie and I personally recommend trying to make your cookie about a quarter of an inch thick so now that cookies formed it’s time to get some sprinkles on it so add a teaspoon of sprinkles to a plate and spray one side of your cookie with a little baking spray and then press your cookie into the plate of sprinkles once your cookie is covered in sprinkles like this transfer it back to a plate microwave it just for about 10 seconds and then let it set for a minute or two that way the cookie can just firm up a little bit and keep its shape but you’ll still be able to eat it hot warm and of course is always enjoy guys all right so just a couple of pro tips to make sure your cookie goes as deliciously as possible number one make sure you use a food scale when you make this and then you’re weighing all the ingredients to the ground you can find all the metric measurements for the recipe in the video description below and you’re definitely going to want to follow those to the tee when you’re making this cookie just because the recipe it’s sort of sensitive and you need to make sure that everything is properly weighed number two it might not seem like there’s enough liquid to form a dough out of your ingredients but if you just show the ingredients a little love your patient and you’re working with them with your hands for a little while a dough typically forms let’s see ninety-nine out of a hundred times you’ll get a dough to form out of it but if we’re not reason a dough doesn’t form just add a teaspoon of vanilla almond milk into your bowl at a time until you get your dough to form you don’t want to go crazy with the almond milk because if you do you’ll end up with a batter instead of a dough and you don’t want that and as far as the macros they’re just unreal the cookie only has 150 calories 2 grams of fat 7 grams of carbs – which is fiber and 26 grams of protein no you didn’t hear that wrong it only has 7 grams of carbs is just crazy I’m pretty sure everybody can fit those numbers into their macros anyways guys I hope you enjoyed today’s video I hope you enjoyed the cookie you try it let me know how it goes for you in the comments below like I said the full recipes in the video description along with all the products that used to make the cookie thanks for watching I’ll see you in the next video
