hey guys fall is now in full effect up here in the Northeast and one of my favorite things about fall besides flannels is turkey chili and this one pot turkey chili is just about as easy to make as a crock pot chili but it’s done in a half hour so it’s even better than crock pot chili let’s get cooking alright so we’re gonna start off by coating a pan with baking spray and browning our meat today we’re using an extra lean ninety nine one ground turkey but any lean ground meat will work too once the turkey is cooked through all the way just add it to a bowl and set it aside now we’re gonna record a pan with baking spray and we’re gonna add in 1/2 a cup or a hundred grams of diced bell peppers and a half a cup or 100 grams of diced onions now we’re gonna let those sweat a little bit and once they start sweating we’re gonna add in an 8 ounce can of low-calorie tomato sauce two and a half cups of chicken broth one and a half cups of corn kernels a 15 ounce can of kidney beans drained a 16 ounce can of refried beans that we’re gonna work in or a pan a 10 ounce can of Rotel tomatoes with green chilies and a packet of taco seasoning now we’re gonna bring our chili up to a boil and cover it with a lid once our chili is boiling we’re gonna turn down the heat to a simmer and occasionally stir it for the next 15 minutes protip guys when your chili is done simmering add in your meat separately so you can be as accurate as possible with your protein macros then add your chili and give it a good mix and of course as always enjoy just so you guys know I used a pound of extra lean ground turkey for my chili and if you split this up into five servings like you would for a typical workweek meal prep every serving is 275 calories 1 gram of fat 54 grams of carbs 13 of which is fiber and 31 grams of protein that’s gonna do it for today I hope you enjoyed the recipe and I’ll catch you in the next one
