Dr. Berg explains his 3 biggest dietary mistakes.
1. He recommended eating through the day to prevent hunger
2. He recommended fruit, especially apples.
3. He recommended not consuming animal protein or fish in the first few weeks.
This advice counters ketogenic diet (ketosis) and intermittent fasting. I highly recommend not snacking through the day as this will increase insulin and prevent weight loss. I also recommend NOT eating apples or fruit as this is way too much sugar for a ketogenic diet. I also recommend consuming animal protein and fish and not avoiding it.
In this video, I’m going to share with you my 3 biggest and most stupid dietary mistakes. No.1, it is recommended in my first book, do not skip meals snack on nuts, seeds and apples through the day. That is very bad advice, don’t follow that advice. Here is another section right here, don’t allow yourself to get hungry this means you need to eat more in between meals. Bad advice because every time you eat you spike insulin and that was the missing piece of the puzzle that I didn’t have at that time and I just recommend it and everyone grazed all day long at night and what happened is it kept the insulin high and it’ll definitely prevent a lot of people from losing weight. No. 2, the best fruit is the apple. And it says right here, an apple which has fiber is a better snack before bed. Another piece of bad advice because apples are too sweet, they have about 19g of sugar and this could keep someone from losing weight. And lastly, do not eat animal proteins, meat, chicken, etc. or fish in the first two weeks. I put everyone on this liver cleanse and that is gonna create a situations on the blood sugars. So this is more bad advice because you cut out the protein, you need protein to build body tissue. I just want to let you know that I did update the book and if I find something that works better, I will let you know.
