so it’s bone broth fasting week which means I’m doing a three-day bone broth fast I’m inviting you to come along with me and participate now by all means full disclaimer I’m not a doctor I’m not telling you that you have to do this this is just simply if you want to join me for the fun then by all means come along with me also if you have any kind of medical conditions or anything like this you should always consult your doctor I have to say that just to make sure you aren’t doing anything that you shouldn’t be doing so let’s explain what’s going on so what we’re gonna do is for three days we’re gonna consume nothing about bone broth and a couple other little things like I’m gonna allow coffee I’ll go through all the details in this I might feel amazing I might feel like garbage that’s kind of the beauty of this this is gonna be a full experimentation self experimentation video I just want people to do it with me because I think it’s a perfect time of year to go ahead and start on this because you’re probably gonna indulge a little bit over the holidays so why not take this week to do a few days of just solid bone broth fasting okay now fasting is great intermittent fasting is great I’ve done videos talking about bone broth fasting the reason that I’m doing a bone broth is we get a little bit more collagen out of it we still get a few calories coming in and quite honestly it’s easy to do a three day fast if you have bone broth in the mix so let me give you the details today is December 16th and if you’re watching this later on then by all means it’s totally fine it can still apply but tomorrow December 17th is when I’m officially going to start my bone broth fast I wanted to announce it today so that everyone could make sure they’ve got everything ready can take notes with this video and then tomorrow December 17th go ahead and get started so you may have gone to the store and gotten your bone broth already or you may need to run to the store and get your bone broth I’m gonna give you the quantities in a minute or you might have taken me up on the special offer for kettle and fire since they’re sponsoring this whole thing so you might have been able to already get the special discount if you haven’t already you can still get it and they’ll ship you bone broth fast you don’t have to start the fast on the 17th okay you can start it whenever you want this week so if you need to order your bone broth and it doesn’t arrive till Tuesday you can start Wednesday and go Wednesday Thursday Friday I’m allocating this whole week to bone broth fasting so here’s what you’re gonna do specifically when you start your fast make sure you’re taking notes here this is important when you start your fast you’re going to get up in the morning and if possible you’re going to work out in the morning before having your bone broth so you’re going to get up you’re okay to have coffee okay do not add cream you know that sugar do not anything to it just black coffee or black tea now I highly highly recommend that you go with a low acid coffee so go with something like a nitro cold brew or a regular cold birds can be easier on the stomach and a little bit more caffeine content that way so go with that and then go to the gym or go work out in your garage or whatever you need to do and the kind of workout that you’re going to focus on is going to be a time under tension slow lower intensity resistance training style workout okay I don’t want any crazy cardio I don’t want you sweating a whole whole lot because I don’t want you to lose more minerals than you’re going to already be losing okay so you’re gonna go in and you’re gonna focus on the east center contraction more than anything so what that means is go nice slow reps and keep tension on the muscle this is going to activate what’s called import mammalian target of rapamycin it’s also gonna activate what are called heat shock proteins so it’s gonna trigger the muscle to be under a specific kind of stress that is going to allow the FASTA to do a little bit more work if you cannot work out in the morning okay now I highly recommend you do but if you cannot the next best time is going to be in the evening as far away from your last meal as possible so if you ate lunch at noon or in Pat bone broth at noon then you’re gonna want to wait until as far as you possibly can so like four or five hours before you work out so you’re in a semi fasted state then after you finish your workout in the morning you’re going to have your first bit of bone broth it’s gonna be eight ounces of bone broth okay that’s all there is to it just bone broth okay then a few hours later about four hours later you’re gonna have another eight ounces of bone broth that’s your lunch okay and then you’re gonna go as long as you can until dinner so probably five six seven hours and you’re gonna have 12 ounces of bone broth okay so you’re just all bone broth now if you worked out in the afternoon you’re gonna have that bone broth as your post-workout okay here’s something that you need to know if you get really foggy like if you start feeling like you’re just not feeling good at all I am okay with you adding one tablespoon of coconut oil to your bone broth yeah I don’t want you to do this more than twice a day so no more than two tablespoons of coconut oil tops and only do it if you really need it I would strongly prefer that you just keep it with a bone broth but some people find that their brain gets a little bit just well foggy and you need to have that inch that’s fine if you have to do it I also will let you know that the first night especially you probably won’t sleep real real well simply because tryptophan is gonna be out of Wax their tone is gonna be out of whack it’s a big shock to your system if you’ve already done fasting before you may not have this but if you’re new to fasting you might experience it ok so just be forewarned on that now you’re gonna want to go with beef bone broth if possible I will probably rotate it up but the reason that you want to aim for beef for the most part is it’s a significantly higher collagen content so it’s gonna be better on the gut mucosal layer and it’s gonna say she ate you a little bit more it’s gonna help you out through the process now a lot of people have already asked about vitamins and things like that ok by all means consult with your doctor if you’re on any prescriptions I can’t advise there and I’m not going to but the other thing that’s really important is that if you’re taking a water soluble vitamin you’re ok to still take that so if you’re taking vitamin C or if you’re taking something like a B vitamin or you’re taking anything that’s water soluble magnesium I’m totally ok with you taking that just don’t take fat soluble vitamins so no fish oils stay away from like the Co Q 10 anything it’s in like a soft gel just don’t do it ok yeah even the vitamin D just stay out of it because it’s suspended in oil so we don’t want that right now we just want the water soluble so if it’s in a capsule you’re gonna be fine that also means no pre workouts no branched-chain amino acids keep it simple like literally coffee your water soluble vitamins bone broth and some coconut oil if you absolutely need it that’s really all there is to it if you have to add more salt you can well you shouldn’t have to because there’s enough salt in here water is absolutely ok you can drink water throughout the day we’re not abstaining from water I want you to be hydrated so definitely go through with that now here’s how the actual breakdown is going to work ok I’m gonna be doing live broadcasts throughout the week ok so normal programming is gonna change I figure a lot of people are traveling right now anyway so the normal programming isn’t going to matter as much so what I’m going to do is throughout the course of the week I’m gonna do two live broadcasts that are going to answer questions ok I’m gonna post in the community to have what time I’m gonna do them at because right now it’s just too hard to determine but probably in the afternoon Pacific time and this way you can come in you can ask questions and I will answer questions specifically regarding the bone broth fast but you can also post your questions down in the comments section below here to make sure that I can answer them as quickly as possible and try to get you input then on Friday the 21st I’m going to announce my results and what I mean by results I want to measure things like my strengths I want to measure my stamina I want to of course take a look at my visual appearance my weight I’m curious on things like this I’m not doing blood work in this case because I do know that after a three day fast your blood works gonna be wacky all kinds of things change c-reactive protein can go way down different things are gonna go way up it doesn’t really give you a solid solid answer so it’s not worth doing this is more about a community thing and I want to see how I feel now like I said I might feel like garbage but the long-term effect is going to be very beneficial so I’m super excited that you’re gonna be doing this with me again I’m not a doctor I don’t play one on TV this is by no means me condoning any specific style of eating or not eating I’m just asking those that want to So, let’s explain what’s going on. So what we’re going to do is for three days, we’re going to consume nothing but bone broth and a couple other little things. Like I’m going to allow coffee, I’ll go through all the details on this. I might feel amazing, I might feel like garbage. That’s kind of the beauty of this. This is going to be a full experimentation, self-experimentation video. I just want people to do it with me because I think it’s a perfect time of year to go ahead and start on this because you’re probably going to indulge a little bit over the holidays, so why not take this week to do a few days of just solid bone broth fasting?

Now fasting is great, intermittent fasting is great. I’ve done videos talking about bone broth fasting. The reason that I’m doing a bone broth fast is because we get a little bit more collagen out of it. We still get a few calories coming in and quite honestly it’s easy to do a three day fast if you have bone broth in the mix.
So, here’s what you’re going to do specifically. When you start your fast, make sure you’re taking notes here, this is important. When you start your fast, you’re going to get up in the morning and if possible, you’re going to work out in the morning before having your bone broth. So you’re going to get up, you’re okay to have coffee. Do not add cream, do not add sugar, do not add anything to it, just black coffee or black tea. Now I highly, highly recommend that you go with a low acid coffee, so go with something like a nitro cold brew or a regular cold brew. It’s going to be easier on the stomach and a little bit more caffeine content that way. So go with that and then go to the gym or go work out in your garage or whatever you need to do and the kind of workout that you’re going to focus on is going to be a time under tension slow lower intensity resistance training style workout. This is going to activate what’s called MTOR, mammalian target of rapamycin. It’s also going to activate what are called heat shock proteins. It’s going to trigger the muscle to be under a specific kind of stress that is going to allow the fast to do a little bit more work.

If you cannot work out in the morning, now I highly recommend you do, but if you cannot, the next best time is going to be in the evening as far away from your last meal as possible so if you ate lunch at noon or had bone broth at noon, then you’re going to want to wait until as far as you possibly can, so like four or five hours before you work out so you’re in a semi-fasted state.
