so it’s that time of the week again it means that I am gonna sit down and I’m gonna answer some of the questions that have come in on my videos over the past week so this is for the week of January 28th 2019 so I got a few videos here so what I do is I go through explain the video really briefly and then I picked a few comments that popped up on that video that I think we’re the most interesting or at least thought-provoking comments and I’m gonna answer them so this is the fun way for me to interact and generate community with you guys and hey if you haven’t been watching my channel for a long time I want to make sure you know that every Tuesday Friday and Sunday there’s new videos coming out at 7 a.m. but I also post up videos throughout the course of the week too so it’s honestly it’s pretty much every day now so alright let’s go ahead and dive right in so this first video was reason to do hit cardio boost otology without fasting so this video broke down how high anticipating actually has powerful effects on auto Fugees similar to fasting so you can actually get the effects of fasting just by doing hit me or you can do a double whammy effect but do both first question comes from shelling Lal Sharma so she says so hit for auto Fiji in Li T or low intensity for building muscle correct not necessarily high intensity interval training can still help preserve a lot of muscle mass so low intensity is usually a little bit safer in terms of preserving muscle but it’s not always the case hit is great just for overall conditioning I did a video recently that talks about how you can improve your vo2 max you actually improve your mitochondrial density and function which makes you stronger all-around which therefore means that you can build more muscle and actually you know still win both ways so I don’t know I’m kind of torn I would actually say that hit is still just as good for for building muscle jr. Anderson says does the study reference mention what type of eating regiment the control groups are on if they weren’t on keto how would a ketogenic diet affect results would hit or MCT be more beneficial so they weren’t on a keto they were on standard which actually makes things interesting because on a keto diet you probably would have a better out often G response so it’s actually interesting ringing that up so this study was actually that was on this video was purely just regular people not even keto so yeah you can expect a better result of keto Matthew Smith says Thomas how do you feel about plyometrics like jump training I’m curious where this falls into etapa G is it basically just another form of hit it’s not another form of hit I mean plyometrics can be used in slow fashion that’s not high-intensity interval training like just slower heavier weights but just really focusing on the bounce plyometrics have some really powerful effects in terms of breaking down muscle tissue an eccentric contraction way which elevates what are called heat shock proteins shps HSPs excuse me HSPs are really really good for just overall building a tolerance allowing your body to adapt so I love incorporating plyometrics whenever they kick my ass I love adding them in little voice says I heard that taking vitamin C decreases autopsy due to its anti-inflammatory antioxidants effect is this true for all vitamins or just vitamin C you know the jury is still out but vitamin C and vitamin E definitely don’t want to take during your fast also some additional studies found that like rat myosin or antibiotics or anything like that can affect esophageal in fact have a whole nother video coming out on that so just stay tuned keep a look out for that video it’s gonna be talking vinegar water throughout my day I don’t mind the taste also is two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar good enough yeah two tablespoons with 8 ounces 10 ounces it’s fine you should probably be sipping on it with a straw so you don’t mess up your teeth and yeah you could totally sip on it throughout the course of the day I mean it’s it’s just gonna help you out digestive Lee so you don’t have to do it but if you like the taste of it and then go for it Isaac says what about Bikram Yoga saunas are high heat and good to sit in for 15 to 20 minutes Bikram or Hot Yoga is moderately high temperatures but for much longer time while being active 60 to 90 minutes do you have an opinion or science the effects on that I would say it’s probably gonna be pretty similar to be in a Bikram room for 60 minutes though it wouldn’t be in a sauna for maybe 15 but the fact that you’re active is great I think the stretching component is still gonna activate additional heat shock proteins because you’re still kind of putting yourself into an eccentric contraction so I say rock and roll I think you’d get a great effect the king of reading says by adding green tea does it have to have caffeine I like to use it but I’m allergic to caffeine thanks for keeping the incredible videos coming you’re the best absolutely does not have to have caffeine caffeine adds an additional effect through a different mechanism but no totally I drink decaf green tea like all day just because I love the the theanine response black oblivion says wait why green tea versus coffee I thought coffee was better for that coffee is great for al-tofah G green tea is also great for autopsy but it has additional benefits like the theanine so like I talked about theanine being able to calm the brain put you into that gaba state so a whole different world Coffee is great too I just have to do a wide variety of videos to talk about different topics a green tea coffee both awesome okay then the next video was rules for keto with no gallbladder a lot of people had asked me about how to do keto with no gallbladder or limited gallbladder function so this video is all about that so if you haven’t seen it already make sure you check it out Michael e worth says what do you think about taking ox bile lost my gallbladder four years ago so I’ve only heard about ox bile recently so I honestly can’t give an honest response but I wanted to include this because I thought it was interesting and somewhat thought-provoking so ox bile is supposed to be this thing where you consume it and it’s supposed to help you break down fats a little bit more let me go ahead and dig into that a little bit more that’s an interesting one Renee M says what if you just had what if you’ve had gastric bypass and had your gallbladder removed does the key to lifestyle change no in fact gastric bypass works great with keto because your food consumption food volume is usually pretty low anyway so it works out great there’s no discomfort Carla prot Hagen says how much in Wynwood I take on how would I take the apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons with 8 to 12 ounces of water and drink it with a straw straight up or put a little bit of stevia a little bit of salt in it to makes it taste little bit better hello Kat says what about no gallbladder and no thyroid my sister is missing both I still want to convince her to try keto yeah I mean if you have no thyroid you’re going to be medicated to produce thyroid so one way or the other it’s not going to matter what diet you do you typically want to avoid cruciferous or because your body’s gonna have a little bit more of a response antibody response but I enlarged she’s gonna be on medication she’s gonna be on love with a rock scene or armor or something like that to actually help produce thyroid so it’s not gonna matter really it’s not what she has to save her thyroid in any way it’s already gone Jessica Cruz says I don’t have a gallbladder I’m only a week drinking it drizzle on your veggies it’s one of my favorite things to do I put MCT oil on my veggies it actually adds a nice volume kind of nice taste to it so I would go for that next video was is calf size genetic I have small calves yep they’re not giant always been that way and the whole reason I did that video is because people have made fun of me before said I promise your quads are big your calves are small why don’t you why don’t you skip calves well I don’t skip them I just I like running and running sometimes gives you small calves I guess I don’t know I also have flat feet but anyway the whole point of this video was all about just how that happens and why that happens so MJ hawk says what about the opposite problem I’m a woman with calves 72 large I used to be very heavy and it seems that working around walking around with an extra hundred pounds really built at my calves any suggestions for leaning them out it’s tough cuz you built that muscle and it’s actually it’s funny it’s a perfect example of how hard it is to actually lose muscle you put on people always think it’s easy to lose muscle it’s actually pretty hard if you’re actively using that muscle so you’re walking around you’re still using those calves albeit at a much lighter weight and you’re still having a hard time getting rid of them it’s a testament how powerful muscle memory is the only way you can really get them to shrink is if like you really just didn’t use them all that much I would just own just onna it’s who you are Bridget Kelly says what about someone having a super hard time losing fat on the calf my grandmother my mom and I are identical twins but my grandmother my mom and I are identical twins and our calves they have a little more fat in them I cannot get them lean and smaller what kind of exercise should I do genetics can be a serious pain in the butt when it comes to that I actually hold fat down and my lower body too it’s like where I’m let usually less lean and not a whole lot you can do to change that unfortunately next one was collagen has interesting effects on sleep and brain function this was all about collagen kind of using a wraparound way to actually improve specific sleep cycles and actually improve your brain function so collagen is more than just hair skin and nails and and soft tissue it’s it’s pretty powerful stuff so I encourage you to check when you eat collagen so it’s definitely not a waste you’re just adding it your body’s gonna a symbol amino acids in a specific way that it needs with the collagen you’re getting a benefit of some more amino acids in a specific way your body’s still gonna break it down you’re definitely right it’s gonna disperse them wherever it needs to go protein is protein is protein but collagen is pretty unique in that it actually has enough of the right amino acids like the glycine the prolene to actually help support hair skin and nails a lot better it’s just going to give you an abundance of what you need Viktor teeka says a lot of talk out there is that collagen supplements will cause side effects so it’s best to get from natural sources what’s the difference of collagen peptides versus natural collagen I mean always get it from a natural source whenever possible so I mean if you want to eat the right cuts of meat and eat the fatty or the connective tissue and stuff like that then totally good to go I mean a lot of fish is high in collagen too Marc Murphy says excellent video if collagen is a protein to include it in our protein intake I mean ketosis or if not or is it not count excuse me due to the way the body is going to be using it no it’s definitely still counted still a complete it’s not a complete protein technically in some ways well it isn’t it isn’t that’s a topic for discussion for another day but anyway point is yes still count toward your protein allocation you don’t want to have too much of it or too little of it overall so that sums it up that What do you think about taking Ox bile? Lost my Gall Bladder about 4 years ago.

What about the opposite problem? I’m a woman with calves that are too large. I used to be very heavy (113 lb heavier, in fact), and it seems that walking around with an extra 100 lb really built up my calves. Any suggestions for leaning them out?
