Let’s talk about how to get the benefits of vitamin D without the toxicity. The danger of vitamin D stems from too much calcium in the blood. Hypercalcemia is the big side effect of too much vitamin D.

Hypercalcemia could potentially lead to:
• Kidney stones
• Constipation
• Frequent urination
• Dementia
• Depression
• Ulcers
• Abdominal pain

However, these potential side effects can be reversible if someone stops taking vitamin D. It’s also rare for someone to have vitamin D toxicity. When vitamin D is measured in the blood, if it’s greater than 150, that can indicate toxicity.

A few things to help prevent vitamin D toxicity:
1. Vitamin K2 (100mcg for every 10,000 IUs of vitamin D)
• Vitamin D needs other things like vitamin K2 to work. Vitamin K2 helps keep calcium out of the soft tissues.

2. Bile salts
• Bile salts are important to help with the absorption of vitamin D.

3. Drink at least 2.5 liters of fluid per day
• This should be enough to help keep the calcium from forming kidney stones.

4. Magnesium
• Magnesium and vitamin D work together. It’s very important in the metabolism of vitamin D.

5. Limit dairy
• Limit the amount of dairy you consume when you take a lot of vitamin D.

Amounts of vitamin D you may want to consider taking:
• For maintenance: 10,000-20,000 IUs
• For therapeutic purposes (short term use): 20,000-50,000 IUs

Vitamin D toxicity is very rare. But, vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency is extremely common. 65% of the population has a vitamin D deficiency, and 95% of the population has a vitamin D insufficiency.

In this video, I’m going to cover a few things you can do if you have shingles.

Potential remedies for shingles:
1. 50,000 IUs of vitamin D3
2. 200mg of zinc
3. 1000mg 3x a day of vitamin C (you can do a non-GMO synthetic version with 500mg of a food-based vitamin C)
4. 600mg of L-lysine (don’t take with arginine and avoid nuts and seeds)
5. 3mg of melatonin

There is also a unique technique you can try for shingles. You can use acupressure on the opposite side (the mirror image) from where you’re feeling pain. For example, let’s say you have pain that radiates from your spine to the left side of your back. You would want to press and massage on the opposite side. You may need to have someone help you with this. This may help relieve the side that’s in pain. You can do this several times a day for relief.

Today I’m going to cover the best supplements for runners.

1. Magnesium
One of the first symptoms of a magnesium deficiency is getting tired easily when exercising.

2. Vitamin B12
Exercise depletes vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 has a lot to do with making red blood cells, which help you carry oxygen. Vitamin B12 is also involved in nerve-muscle interaction.

3. Green tea
Green tea has a lot of antioxidants and phytonutrients to help get rid of the oxidation and free radical damage from exercise. This can help with recovery. Green tea can also increase fat oxidation and promote better performance.

4. Probiotics
Probiotics may help with recovery. Probiotics can also help decrease the risk of getting an infection from exercising too much.

5. Potassium
If you’re deficient in potassium, you could have problems with cramping and muscle fatigue. It’s also very important for the cardiovascular system and to help keep the arteries flexible and soft.

6. Sodium
Without sodium, your muscles can get weak. I believe the best source of sodium is Himalayan sea salt.

7. Beta-alanine
This can help decrease lactic acid, which can fatigue the muscles. It can decrease acidity, which can cause tiredness. It can also increase energy.

8. Vitamin D
Vitamin D is a powerful anti-inflammatory, and it may have a direct effect on exercise performance. It’s also vital for the cardiovascular part of the body.

9. Vitamin B1
Without enough vitamin B1, you’re not going to be burning your fuel that well. This could cause you to be tired.

In this video, we’re going to talk about a very important relationship between magnesium and vitamin D.

You need magnesium to fully absorb vitamin D. Magnesium assists in the activation of vitamin D in the liver and kidneys.

This means that if you’re magnesium deficient, you can easily become vitamin D deficient, which can lead to skeletal problems, cardiovascular problems, mood issues, inflammation, and metabolic syndrome.

Just as magnesium is vital for vitamin D activation, vitamin D is essential for stimulating the absorption of magnesium. These two nutrients work synergistically to support a healthy body.

This doesn’t mean that you have to take magnesium and vitamin D at the same time. Your body can store magnesium and vitamin D for when you need them. It’s essential to keep your overall magnesium and vitamin D levels normal.

In this video, we’re going to talk about the best sources of vitamin D.

The absolute best source of vitamin D is the sun. When the sun’s rays hit your skin, your body produces a form of pre-vitamin D using the cholesterol in your skin. This pre-vitamin D is then converted into the active form of vitamin D.

Many different factors affect your ability to get your vitamin D from the sun. Where you live, your skin color, the time of year, your age, and your weight factor into your ability to create vitamin D naturally. In many parts of the world, getting vitamin D naturally can be difficult.

Food sources of vitamin D include cod liver oil, fatty fish, oysters, and sardines. The problem is that these food sources often do not contain enough to supply you with the amount of vitamin D that you need to stay healthy (unless you consume a MASSIVE amount of these foods). This is where supplements can help pick up the slack.

The best supplemental form of vitamin D is vitamin D3, which most often comes from sheep’s wool. A healthy sheep produces 2-30 pounds of wool per year. That wool is then sheered to create a lanolin extract. They can then extract vitamin D3 from this wool.

Vitamin D3 is the same form of vitamin D that your body creates naturally. The form of vitamin D that your body does not make is vitamin D2, which happens to be the form that most supplements use. Your body does not absorb a large portion of vitamin D2, which is why I do not think it’s the best way to get your vitamin D—you end up wasting a large portion of it.

In this video, we’re going to talk about vitamin D. In particular, I want to answer a question that one of my viewers had. The question was, “Is 600 IUs of vitamin D enough? I was told that’s all I need.”

The answer is… Absolutely not!

Let’s start by talking about where you get vitamin D from.

You get vitamin D from the sun. When your skin is exposed to the sun, your body turns cholesterol into an inactive form of vitamin D. From there, it is converted into the active form of vitamin D.

In the summer, you will get far more vitamin D than in the winter. However, the amount of vitamin D your body produces is heavily reliant on your latitude. If you’re in a warm climate, you will likely have more exposure to the sun. Those who live in the northern hemisphere are very likely to have lower levels of vitamin D.

Vitamin D levels also depend on how much you go outside, your skin color, your age, whether or not you are exposing enough skin or wearing sunscreen, how heavy you are, etc…

So, if you don’t get enough vitamin D from sunlight, can’t you just get it from food?

Vitamin D isn’t in a lot of food. Even in foods that are relatively high in vitamin D, it’s not enough to supply you with the amount of vitamin D you need to support a healthy body.

If you have inflammation in your gut, you also won’t be able to absorb enough vitamin D from food to support your health. Viruses, health problems, and genetics can also influence vitamin D absorption.

My opinion is that 10,000 IUs is ideal for maintaining vitamin D levels.

I believe vitamin D is the most important vitamin for asthma. Here’s why.

0:00 Vitamin D for asthma
0:10 Asthma symptoms
0:15 Vitamin D deficiency
1:13 The immune system
2:32 Traditional asthma treatment
2:55 Natural asthma remedy

Today we’re going to talk about vitamin D and asthma. Typically, someone who is asthmatic has a vitamin D deficiency.

Symptoms of asthma may include:
• Wheezing
• Shortness of breath
• Chest tightness
• Cough

It could actually be the vitamin D deficiency that causes:
• Changes in the thickness where the gas exchange occurs in the lung
• Changes in the mass volume of the lung itself
• Changes in the composition
• Changes in the smooth muscle

There are a lot of structural things that are being altered when you have asthma, mainly because of inflammation. At the lining of the lung tissue where it’s exposed to air, you have complex immune protection.

With asthma, there are two areas in the immune system where things aren’t working that well. One is with the T helper cell, and the other is with the T regulatory cell. Both of these are involved in the coordination of immune reactions and regulating inflammation to make sure there’s not too much inflammation. When there is a dysfunction of these cells, you can get inflammation.

Now, not only do we not get the gas exchange, but there is also hypersensitivity to various triggers. There is an overreaction in the immune system, and inflammation is easily triggered. With asthma, there is a problem with the immune system, the lung, and cortisol.

Vitamin D may start to turn around and remodel the lungs in a positive way. It can potentially slow down and stop inflammation and fibrosis. Vitamin D can also allow cortisol to work better in the lungs. It can even act very similar to cortisol. Vitamin D is a very powerful anti-inflammatory. You may want to consider taking at least 20,000 IUs of vitamin D3 to potentially see a difference in the way you breathe, as well as reduced asthma symptoms.

2:02 The problem with UV-A

3:18 Vitamin D from food

Today we’re going to talk about tanning beds and vitamin D. The sun emits a wavelength that penetrates a certain level of your skin. In that layer of skin, the sun triggers cholesterol to create a chemical change into vitamin D. But, at this stage, it’s an inactive form of vitamin D3 (previtamin D3).

The inactive form of vitamin D has to be activated through the liver and the kidneys. However, certain things can block this conversion and keep you from achieving your optimum vitamin D levels.

The wavelength (UV) we’re talking about is actually made up of three different wavelengths. The wavelength that makes vitamin D is called UV-B. There is also UV-A, but this wavelength does not make vitamin D. UV-A is the wavelength used in tanning beds.

The problem with UV-A is that it penetrates deeper, and it can actually create genetic damage in DNA. It may also increase the risk of melanomas. With the sun, you’re getting UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C, as well as other things. With a tanning bed, you’re only getting UV-A.

What really matters is that you’re getting vitamin D because vitamin D can be protective against many things, including certain types of cancer. It’s also difficult to get the vitamin D you need from food. Getting vitamin D from the sun may be your best option.

In this video, we’re going to talk about the influence of vitamin D over your muscles.

Vitamin D could help those with osteoporosis decrease their risk of getting a fracture. It could also decrease the risk of falling.

The first symptom of vitamin D deficiency is typically low back pain. You might also have bone pain or difficulty getting up from a seated position. There is a huge influence of vitamin D controlling neuromuscular function.

Every muscle cell (myocyte) has a receptor for vitamin D (VDR).

Vitamin D and muscular function:
1. It can help muscle strength
2. It can help stabilize posture
3. Your quads, glutes, and iliopsoas are all influenced by vitamin D
4. It can greatly affect your physical performance
5. A vitamin D deficiency can cause a sway of the body when walking (like a waddle)
6. The speed or the contractibility of the muscles is influenced by vitamin D

The Best 3 Remedies for Psoriasis

New To Keto But Want To Grow Your Knowledge?

More specifically, you want help with The Best 3 Remedies for Psoriasis?

let’s talk about the three best remedies for psoriasis if you have psoriasis you definitely need to watch this entire video i put a tremendous amount of research into this topic to summarize it to make it extremely simple and to hopefully help you so there’s some really simple things you can do that are non-toxic the greek word for psoriasis comes from sora means itchy and iastis means action or condition so it’s an itchy condition psoriasis is an autoimmune condition where your body is producing antibodies against itself so the symptoms of psoriasis are coming from your own immune system and certain parts of your skin are replaced every three to five days instead of every 28 to 30 days so we have this accelerated reproduction of skin cells and that’s what creates the redness and the scaling and the little white flakes that are on the like the little plaque so here’s what’s going on there is a t cell dysfunction the t cells are part of the immune system that’s called the acquired immune system you’re not born with it you develop it over time and there’s a dysfunction going on an imbalance triggered usually by an altered microbiome either in your gut or a really really bad sore throat a strep throat or another infection and there’s several different types of t cells the one that is involved is the t helper cell th17 it’s called and this happens to be your own immune cell that induces inflammation and autoimmune diseases and also it releases cytokines so it has an additional inflammatory signal on top of that now there’s other t cells called the t regulatory cells that are involved in preventing autoimmune diseases in the first place and those are usually suppressed so we have a suppressed t regulatory cell and we have an increase in t helper cells th17 now if you do some research on this you’re going to find some interesting data on the relationship between the t helper cell th17 and vitamin d vitamin d happens to be something that can suppress th17 and so this is very interesting because vitamin d is not really a vitamin it’s a hormone that acts like cortisol in the body which happens to be one of the big treatments for psoriasis prednisone and anti-inflammatory so vitamin d is a natural prednisone without the side effects the other interesting thing about this is that psoriasis is worse in the winter why because the vitamin d is going to be lower also there’s higher incidence of psoriasis the further you live from the equator and if you have psoriasis you’re a greater risk for depression and one of the big root causes of depression is a vitamin d so we have vitamin d very very important i would recommend 40 000 iu’s every single day you need to take enough to penetrate sometimes the damage that’s in the colon that’s not allowing you to absorb the vitamin d there’s usually an altered microbiome so you have to take a little bit more now cod liver oil not only does cod live oil have vitamin d and vitamin a which is also good for the skin but it also has the omega-3 fatty acids dha and epa and one of the main symptoms of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency is dry scaly red skin also omega-3 is an anti-inflammatory the last remedy is bile salts why because bile salts stimulate the vitamin d receptor bile salts allow vitamin d to work a lot better in the body so if there’s any type of resistance let’s say you have some genetic alteration in your receptor for vitamin d it’s called a polymorphism this will help potentially increase the absorption also bile salts directly modulate or control the t helper cell 17 the th17 cell so bile salts are going to help to regulate this dysfunction as well as stimulate the t regulatory cells that’s the one that puts the fire out it helps to calm down the inflammation so the type of bile salt i’m going to recommend for this would be tudka t-u-d-c-a i’m not recommending a brand just get whatever you can find that has good views and take three to four per day it’ll be used to help you digest the dietary fat what we want to do is to take an empty stomach so it can actually focus on helping regulate the immune system and as far as the cod liver oil take whatever is recommended on the bottle that you buy and the last two things i’m going to recommend are fasting very very very important for all autoimmune conditions as well as no gluten at all in the diet so go ahead and apply this information and comment down below i want to hear your results before you go if you have a question about a product or you’re new to keto and you want to know how to begin keto or you’re on keto and you need a debug because it’s not going as smooth i have a keto consultant standing by to help you this is just for the people in the us hopefully in the future we’ll be able to answer everyone’s call but i put the number down below so you can call and get some help

2:18 Remedy #1 – Vitamin D for psoriasis
3:28 Remedy #2 – Cod liver oil for psoriasis
3:51 Remedy #3 – Bile salts for psoriasis

In this video, we’re going to talk about the three best remedies for psoriasis. If you have psoriasis, then you don’t want to miss out on this video—I put a lot of research and energy into this topic to summarize it for you.

The word Psoriasis comes from two Greek words: psora (itchy) and iasis (action/condition).

Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition—this is where your body creates antibodies that attack your own healthy tissue. With psoriasis, certain areas of your skin are replaced every 3-5 days instead of 28-30 days. This accelerated production of skin cells is what causes the redness, scaliness, and flakiness with psoriasis.

What’s really happening behind the curtain is a T-cell dysfunction—in particular, the TH17 cell. T-cells are part of the acquired immune system. This means you aren’t born with it, but instead, you acquire it over time.

This dysfunction of TH17 cells is typically triggered by an altered microbiome.

When these cells dysfunction, they induce a massive amount of inflammation and autoimmunity. Additionally, they release cytokines, which can also be inflammatory. At the same time, T-reg cells are suppressed.

TH17 is directly linked to vitamin D. This is why the first remedy for psoriasis is vitamin D. Take a look:

1. Vitamin D – Vitamin D helps regulate T-cells. Vitamin D acts as a hormone in the body. In particular, it acts like cortisol, which is one of the primary treatments for psoriasis. This is why psoriasis cases skyrocket in the winter—most people get less vitamin D.

2. Cod liver oil – Cod liver oil not only contains vitamin D and vitamin A, but it also has omega-3 fatty acids. Low levels of omega-3s are known to cause dry, scaly, and red skin. Omega-3 is a powerful anti-inflammatory.

3. Bile salts – Bile salts stimulate vitamin D receptors. This means that it allows vitamin D to work much better in the body.

It’s also a good idea to go on an intermittent fasting plan and avoid all gluten.

Give these tips a try and let me know how they work for you in the comments below.
