so why is it that the country of Saudi
Arabia which has so much sun exposure have such a vitamin D problem there is a
meta-analysis between 2008 and 2015 that demonstrated a 63.5% of the population

there was a nineteen point nine percent of the population had a vitamin D
insufficiency which is not a full deficiency but they had like a
subclinical vitamin D deficiency and if we add those two numbers together we get
eighty three point four percent of the population has a big problem with
vitamin D this is epidemic their seventh in the world for the rate of getting
diabetes and I’m talking about type 2 their fourth in the world at the rate of
getting type one diabetes which is an autoimmune disease and by the way 84
percent of type one diabetes in children showed a vitamin D deficiency there’s a
huge connection now why are they deficient vitamin D well the obvious
thing is they have traditional clothing that blocks the Sun and there probably
has some other reasons too because once you get diabetes
you’re even more deficient and there’s other factors too like obesity and the
amount of fat on your body that’s gonna slow things down the amount of pigment
in your skin you have age your digestion so there’s many many factors now what
you have to realize is that only 10% of the vitamin D in your body comes from
your diet it’s almost impossible to get all of your vitamin D from your diet but
just realize that fatty fish cod liver oil have a lot of vitamin D now when
you’re deficient in vitamin D you’re gonna have fatigue you can get depressed it
increases your risk for getting diabetes as well as a lot of inflammation
especially in the lower back you get aches and
pains bone pain if you press uh near your sternum okay which is your
breastbone and you have pain or your shin which is in the front part of your
lower leg and it hurts that could be because of the vitamin D deficiency high
blood pressure is a vitamin D deficiency a weakened immune system so there are
many problems that occur when you’re deficient in vitamin D so if you live in
Saudi Arabia and you’re watching this video I highly recommend you start
taking at least 15,000 to 20,000 IU’s of vitamin d3 every single day I would also
recommend to go along with that is to take vitamin k2 and for every 10,000
IU’s of d3 you want a hundred micrograms of k2 and that’s the ratio so you can do
your own calculations on that but I think if you start taking vitamin D I
think you’re going to notice a huge improvement in these symptoms as well as
a major reduction in not only diabetes type 2 but type 1 as well alright thanks

Today let’s talk about Saudi Arabia and vitamin D. 

There was a meta-analysis between 2008 and 2015 that demonstrated that 63.5% of the population had a vitamin D deficiency. On top of that, 19.9% of the population had vitamin D insufficiency (a subclinical vitamin D deficiency). Together, this is 83.4% of the population that had a problem with vitamin D. 

Saudi Arabia is also:

• 7th in the world for the rate of getting type 2 diabetes
• 4th in the world for the rate of getting type 1 diabetes

84% of the type of 1 diabetes cases in children showed a vitamin D deficiency. 

So, why is this such problem in Saudi Arabia? Well, there is traditional clothing typically worn in Saudi Arabia, that blocks the sun. But, there are other factors as well.

Only 10% of the vitamin D you get comes from your diet. It’s almost impossible to get all of the vitamin D you need from your diet. 

Vitamin D deficiency symptoms:

• Fatigue 
• Depression
• Diabetes
• Inflammation
• Aches 
• High blood pressure 
• Weak immunity 

It may be beneficial, especially for those in Saudi Arabia, to start taking vitamin D supplements. If you do take vitamin D supplements, you may also want to take vitamin K2. For every 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3, consider taking 100 mcg of vitamin K2.

fascinating very interesting study called patterns of COVID-19 mortality
and vitamin D an Indonesian study okay check this out
vitamin D is associated not only with decreasing the severity of symptoms from
COVID-2 but decreasing the mortality as well so they had 780 cases who had SARS-COVID-2 confirmed on a blood test ok so they confirmed that who were tested
positive for the virus so the showed decreased severity in
blood clots hypoxia which is a lack of oxygen and respiratory stress but check
this out there are three groups the normal group
which means they had enough vitamin D now we have insufficient vitamin D that
means that they’re a low in vitamin D but they weren’t completely deficient
just under 28 percent had an insufficiency and then we had those
people that were deficient 23 percent of this group right here were very
deficient in vitamin D of the 50 percent the normal group only four percent of
them died that’s a four percent mortality right now let’s compare that
with the group that was insufficient eighty eight percent of this group died
and look at this of the vitamin D deficient group which is 23 percent 99
percent of them died now why isn’t this on the front page of the news I mean
they’re doing all these studies with drugs and they show some minor
improvement but this is huge I don’t see doctors using vitamin D probably because
it’s very inexpensive in fact it’s free you just need to be
out in the Sun to get this vitamin vitamin D puts out the cytokine storm
like a water hose on fire if you don’t have enough vitamin D and you’re going
into this infection you are really really at risk if you know of someone
that is infected get them on vitamin D you yourself make sure you’re getting
enough it’s basically a pandemic over a billion

Vitamin D is not only associated with decreased severity from COVID-2 but also decreased mortality from COVID-2.

A study that involved 780 confirmed cases of SARS-COVID-2 showed decreased severity in blood clots, hypoxia, and respiratory stress. 

There were three groups involved in the study:

Group 1: Had enough vitamin D
Group 2: Had insufficient vitamin D
Group 3: Had a deficiency in vitamin D

The group that had a deficiency in vitamin D had a much higher mortality rate than the group that had enough vitamin D.

D now just realize that what I’m gonna say is not meant to replace medical care
I’m not making any claim that vitamin D is going to cure this virus and I’m not
going to sell you any vitamin D I just want to increase your awareness on the
importance of vitamin D for your immune system so we know that the coronavirus
attacks a weak immune system and that’s its strength and that’s your weakness so
what could you do to strengthen your weakness vitamin D is one of the things
that you can take because if you have a pre-existing health problem and you
already have a weakened immune system you need to do some things to strengthen
your immune system and give yourself that added protection especially
protection of your lungs now what’s interesting about vitamin D is that
there’s quite a few articles out there that talk about vitamin D deficiency
being a pandemic in itself with over seventy to eighty percent of the
population on this planet having either a deficiency of vitamin D or an
insufficiency of vitamin D if you’re deficient you’re at risk for having
dental problems you’re gonna have more inflammation in the body especially if
your lower back more risk for autoimmune conditions increasing your risk for
infections cardiovascular problems cancer diabetes type 2 bone loss
neurological problems and it’s also interesting that a lot of infections
involving viruses occur in the wintertime I wonder why that is
so vitamin D is critical for your immune system it has viral killing effects
vitamin D deficiency can increase your risk of over 300 illnesses including the
flu and respiratory infections like pneumonia
vitamin D deficiency increases your susceptibility to getting infections
because it impairs the immune system will also increase your risk of
something called ARDS which is involved in this coronavirus
acute respiratory distress syndrome in fact there are studies
which I’m going to put down below which talks about all the past coronaviruses
being treated with vitamin D with some pretty good success vitamin D decreases
pro-inflammatory cytokines and what does that mean well these pro-inflammatory
cytokines increase inflammation by vitamin D inhibits these cytokines and cytokines
are basically hormone communications that signal the immune system in create
different effects vitamin D also increases the anti inflammatory cytokine
2 so it helps inflammation so you can imagine if you are sick with the coronavirus and you have inflammation in your lungs you’re going to need some support
because vitamin D acts in a similar way to cortisol which is an
anti-inflammatory but without the side effects vitamin D has antiviral
properties and it lowers the risk for respiratory infections so take a wild
guess who’s at risk for a vitamin D deficiency the obese and guess who is at
risk for the coronavirus obese I wonder if there’s a connection also realize
that certain viruses have strategies of blocking your ability to absorb vitamin
D because apparently they know that vitamin D is an immune modulator which
means they vitamin D helps control the immune system now lack of Sun is one of
the big causes of a vitamin D deficiency because it’s very difficult to get your
vitamin D from foods unless you’re consuming salmon halibut
herring cod liver oil things like that now another interesting thing to to make
note is that the great majority of people with lung infections have a
deficiency of vitamin D when you use sunscreens you’re at risk for having
a vitamin D deficiency the darker the skin the less vitamin D you can get from
the Sun if you have malabsorption issues in your gut you’re not going to be able
to absorb the full amount of vitamin D so you have to take more women that are
breastfeeding are using a lot of vitamin D for their infant leaving the mother
so women who are breastfeeding should definitely take more vitamin D pregnant
women are usually deficient in vitamin D aging causes a deficiency of vitamin D
so the key is staying young right in the winter months you’re at risk for having
a vitamin D deficiency one simple way to know that you’re deficient vitamin D is
if you have either back pain or you’re feeling like you have the blues you’re a
little bit down or depressed because vitamin D can actually bring up your
mood big-time statins block cholesterol so you can’t
make vitamin D anymore so that’s a weakness cortisol if you’re taking
prednisone or some type of medication with a cortisone cream that can lower

Today we’re going to talk about COVID-19, and vitamin D. I just want to increase your awareness on the importance of vitamin D for your immune system. 

We know the coronavirus attacks a weak immune system. That’s it’s strength and your weakness. So, what could you do to help strengthen your weakness? 

Vitamin D might be one of the things that you can take. If you have a pre-existing health problem, and you already have a weak immune system, you may want to do some things to help strengthen your immune system. 

There are quite a few articles out there that talk about vitamin D deficiency being a pandemic in itself. It’s possible that 70-80% of the population has a deficiency of vitamin D or insufficiency of vitamin D. 

A vitamin D deficiency could put you at a higher risk for:

• Dental problems 
• Inflammation 
• Auto-immune conditions 
• Infection 
• Cardiovascular problems

• Diabetes type 2

In this video, we’re going to talk about how much food you would have to eat to get your vitamin D requirements. 

In my opinion, vitamin D is one of the most important fat-soluble vitamins out there. Vitamin D is beneficial for bone health, calcium absorption, the immune system, and to help lower inflammation. 

But, there are many things that can deplete your vitamin D that go beyond not getting enough vitamin D from your food or from the sun.  

A few causes of a vitamin D deficiency:

• Microbes that block the vitamin D receptor
• Stress
• Sugar 
• Lowered sun exposure 
• Age
• Darker skin has less conversion on the skin of vitamin D from the sun 
• Poor health 
• Inflammation 
• Insulin resistance 

The RDAs for vitamin D are 400-800 IUs, which is 10-20 micrograms. I believe those numbers are way too low. I think, at a minimum, you need 5,000 IUs per day. But, if you have health issues, you may need a lot more. 

Vitamin D in different foods:

Salmon — 4oz. — 511 IUs
Sardines — 3 oz. — 175 IUs
Egg — 1 — 43 IUs
Tuna — 4oz. — 93 IUs 
Milk — 4oz. — 62 IUs
Mushrooms — 1/2 cup — 20 IUs
Cod liver oil — 1 TBSP — 1,360 IUs

As you can see, it’s very difficult to get even the minimum amount of vitamin D you need through food alone. The best way to get vitamin D is from the sun. You need to get a moderate amount of sun. You do not want to burn your skin. In the winter months, you may need a vitamin D supplement. But, if you take a vitamin D supplement, you need vitamin K2 as well. For every 10,000 IUs of Vitamin D3, consider taking 100 micrograms of vitamin K2.

There are many reasons for this big problem. A few causes of a vitamin D deficiency are:

• You don’t get enough sun
• You’re sitting in front of a computer screen all of the time
• It’s almost impossible to get the vitamin D you need from food 
• You have insulin resistance 
• You consume a lot of sugar and refined carbs 

But there’s something else that’s very important going on. Vitamin D can only work if it connects to a receptor. There is something called the vitamin D receptor (VDR). A few vitamin D benefits are that it helps regulate calcium and supports bone health. But, that’s only a small part of what it does. 

The vitamin D receptor is responsible for 229 genes. So, this receptor has the ability to create a lot of different effects. A really big function of vitamin D is immune modulation. This means that it can control your immune system to a great extent.
