In this video, we’re going to talk about having one and a half meals per day (OAAHM) on keto.

I have a number of people on this eating plan, and it seems to be a great transition into one meal a day (OMAD).

Having your first meal around 1:00 pm and your last (light) meal around 5:00-6:00 pm will give you 19-20 hours of fasting per day.

During your first meal, you would consume your heavier proteins and fats. Your second meal would consist of a light salad and some healthy fats.

Since your second meal is lighter, it has less of an effect on insulin.

You’re also breaking up the meals so you can consume more calories and get all of the nutrients you need.

Dr. Berg explains why your friends and family won’t do a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting.

People do not do what they do not understand. Many times you may explain ketogenic diet by telling them what to eat – this is a mistake because you did not tell them what it is and why they need to do it. So no action is going to take place.

I would explain it like this:
The ketogenic diet is a condition which allows your body to burn excess fat off your body and use fat as your primary fuel. Ketones are the byproduct of fat burning. The reason WHY you need to do it because ketones are a superior fuel source for your brain, your heart, and your hormones. It will improve your mood, your memory, and your energy.

INTERMITTENT FASTING: This is not a diet, its a frequency of eating and not eating. The reason WHY you need to do it is to trigger the key hormone for fat burning and anti-aging.

Once this is understood, and if they are interested, then explain how to do it.

In this video, we are going to talk about why your friends and family don’t do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. First of all, people don’t do what they don’t understand and the other things you never explain how to do it or what to eat before you explain why to do it. To really explain it or teach it, you really have to understand it yourself first in fact the more you understand it, the better you explain it in simple terms. This is what I would do if I were explaining the Ketogenic diet to someone that really knew nothing about it. The Ketogenic Diet is a diet that allows you to burn your fat off your body, the excess fat and use fat as the primary fuel. Ketones are the byproduct of fat burning. So really simply that is how it explains it. After explaining what it is, now I am going to explain why they should do it and they should do it because fat is a superior fuel for your brain, heart, and hormones. It is going to improve your mood, memory, and energy. Then we want to explain what intermittent fasting is. Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it is a frequency of eating and not eating and then we just simply explain why they should do it. Intermittent fasting triggers hormones specifically the fat-burning hormones and the anti-aging hormones so that way they get the concept of the benefit and very simply, what it is. Go ahead and apply this and see if you can get your friends and family members to actually do it through educating them on really what it is.
