In this video, we’re going to talk about the best foods for the keto flu.

The keto flu isn’t quite like having influenza—it doesn’t involve an infection or virus. Instead, it is the result of low electrolytes while your body adapting to ketosis.

Symptoms of the keto flu include:
• Lethargy
• Weakness
• Aches
• Brain fog
• Nausea
• Headaches

The best remedies for the keto flu are:
• Salty foods (add sea salt!)
• Bone broth
• Foods high in potassium
• Greens + sea salt
• Avocado + sea salt

In summary, the cause of the keto flu is a deficiency or imbalance of electrolytes, including sodium and potassium.

When you first start Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting, one to two of your meals should include a large salad or other vegetables with sea salt. This will help replenish your potassium and sodium.

Avocados with sea salt are one of my favorite things to have for low potassium and sodium.

In this video, I want to cover the foods you may want to start eating if you have Parkinson’s disease or if you want to help prevent Parkinson’s disease.

Parkinson’s disease involves the degeneration of certain neurons in the brain that make dopamine.

Parkinson’s disease can cause:
• Loss of memory
• Tremors
• Muscle rigidity
• Confusion

There is a certain protein in the brain that inhibits the proteins that protect the brain against the oxidation that can lead to certain degenerative diseases. But, another compound, called farnesol, can deactivate the protein that inhibits the protective proteins. This allows the protective proteins to help prevent Parkinson’s disease and other degenerative diseases. Farnesol is in certain types of foods.

The best foods for Parkinson’s disease:
1. Berries
2. Vegetables (especially tomatoes)
3. Herbs (lemongrass, chamomile, rose, and musk)
4. Essential oils (citronella)

I believe the #1 most addictive food is pizza. Pizza is a refined carbohydrate. It will spike your dopamine, stimulating your reward centers and giving you pleasure.

The most addictive foods:
1. Pizza
2. Chocolate
3. Chips
4. Cookies
5. Ice cream
6. French fries
7. Cheeseburgers

The least addictive foods:
1. Cucumbers
2. Carrots
3. Broccoli
4. Water

It’s important to note that there are fantastic keto-friendly versions of many of your favorite foods, including pizza, chocolate, chips, cookies, ice cream, French fries, and more.

Dopamine is the key neurotransmitter that you want to boost. If you are addicted to anything, I believe it’s important to try to increase your dopamine from things other than what you’re addicted to.

What you can try to help increase dopamine and fight addiction:
• Exercise
• Vitamin D (20,000 IUs per day)
• Fasting (regular intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting)
