As a kid, I loved red velvet cake. Little did I know it was just food coloring and artificial flavoring. Red food dye is linked to some major health problems.

The food industry pumps out 15 million pounds of food dye into our food supply. You might not be eating anything with red food dye, but your kids might be.

Food dyes are in foods, such as:
• Baked goods
• Candy
• Pie filling
• Cake frosting
• Cake mix
• Fruit snacks
• Cereals
• Strawberry filling
• Red sodas

Potential symptoms of consuming red food dye:
• Hyperactivity
• Allergies
• Increased risk of cancer
• Increased estrogen
• DNA damage

Today I’m going to cover a few bad food and drug combinations. Ideally, the thing to do is to get so healthy that the need for drugs isn’t even there.

Bad food and drug combinations:
1. Tylenol and alcohol
• This could potentially cause liver toxicity. If you have an alcoholic drink, you wouldn’t want to consume Tylenol within 12 hours.

2. Sedatives and alcohol
• This could potentially drop your blood pressure, respiration, and your heart rate.

3. Calcium channel blockers and grapefruit
• Grapefruit has a certain chemical that blocks the breakdown of drugs through the liver. This could potentially cause the drugs to accumulate and create toxicity.

4. Bronchodilators and caffeine
• This could potentially cause a massive stimulation that could mess with the heart or heart rhythm and even trigger seizures.

5. Beta-blockers and high protein foods
• This could potentially greatly increase the bioavailability of the drugs creating side effects.

Is synthetic meat the wave of the future? Here’s what you need to know.

Timestamps

0:28 What is synthetic meat?
2:43 Is synthetic meat sustainable?
3:54 Bulletproof your immune system *free course!

Synthetic meat has been promoted as plant-based clean meat and a healthy alternative to processed meat. But is it really plant-based, clean, and less processed?

What’s in synthetic meat?
• Autolyzed yeast (flavor enhancer)
• Bleached wheat flour
• Food dyes
• Artificial flavorings
• Canola oil
• Carrageenan
• Copper sulphate
• Corn oil
• Corn syrup solids
• Dextrose
• Hydrolyzed vegetarian protein (soy, corn, wheat)
• Modified food starch
• Mycoprotein

There are a lot of problems with these ingredients that can potentially lead to health issues. Not only that, but synthetic meat is not sustainable to live healthily off of. If something is sustainable, it has to improve your health.

Have you consumed synthetic meat? If so, did it make you feel better or give you any additional health benefits?

Granola bars: are they keto-friendly, or should you avoid them at all costs? Here’s what you need to know.

In this video, we’re going to talk about granola bars. Are they keto-friendly?

When you see a box of granola bars, you may note that the packaging says it’s 100% natural and organic, and it contains no artificial flavoring or coloring. That’s means that it must be healthy—right?

If you read the back label of the granola bars, the “healthy” granola bar may not seem so healthy. Here’s what is in a typical granola bar:

• Whole oats
• Sugar
• Canola oil
• Yellow cornflour
• Soy flour
• Brown sugar syrup
• Baking soda
• Natural flavoring

Keep in mind that the first few ingredients on a particular label typically make up the majority of the product.

These ingredients make up 29 grams of carbohydrates per serving. They are very high on the glycemic index, which means they have the potential to contribute to blood sugar issues and weight gain.

In summary, granola bars are not keto-friendly at all. They contain a massive amount of sugar that will knock you out of ketosis very quickly. Avoid these products at all costs.

Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting:

How many carbs should a diabetic consume each day? You may have gotten bad information in the past.

Timestamps
0:00 How many carbs should a diabetic consume?
0:10 What do the experts say?
3:12 What can you do?

How many carbohydrates should a person with diabetes consume on a daily basis? The experts say that 45-60% of your calories should be from carbs. If a person consumes 1800 calories per day, that’s 225g of carbs per day. They also say there is no magic number of carbs a person should consume and that appetite and hunger should play a role.

This is insanity and a recipe for disaster. I believe a person should keep their carbs between twenty and fifty grams per day.

Here are a few things you could do:
• Reduce your carbs (less than 50g per day)
• Stop snacking
• Intermittent fasting (consume two meals a day)
• Increase healthy fats
• Stop consuming so-called “healthy carbs” (fruit, whole grains, brown rice)
• Consume Himalayan sea salt
• Avoid omega-6 fatty acids
• Increase omega-3 fatty acids

The Most Difficult Foods to Give Up

The Most Difficult Foods to Give Up

New To Keto But Want To Grow Your Knowledge?

More specifically, you want help with The Most Difficult Foods to Give Up?

so i have another question for you what is the food that is the most difficult to give up on keto is it the pasta how about bread is it the chips corn chips potato chips popcorn that was my weakness by the way i’ll just put a little chuck mark there sugar desserts what about rice potatoes or is there another one go ahead and comment down below i’d like to know your biggest weakness on keto the goal is to put you in a state of health so healthy that occasionally going off the program is not going to create a big problem the problem when you do go off the program is that the next day your blood sugars are off and you’re going to want it more and more so it’s kind of a slippery slope because as soon as you start to go off and then you go off and then you keep going off and a month later you’re off the other problem is that when you consume these foods they’re called carbohydrates you’re going to activate dopamine and dopamine is part of the addictive circuitry that you have in your brain that you need more and more of it to achieve the same effect so you start off having a little bit and then you end up having a lot down the road but overall healthy keto and intermittent fasting is your best option for handling the physical addictions the body addictions to certain foods especially these right here because it’s going to get rid of your hunger it’s going to get rid of your cravings but unfortunately it doesn’t handle the mental habits that you might have or the mental addictions you have certain memories you’re in social situations and everything goes out the window and you slide right into your happy place where you start consuming some of these foods so i have a couple tips for you number one you absolutely positively need some substitutes similar foods for these so that way you don’t feel deprived because as soon as someone says that you can’t have something it creates scarcity and you’re gonna want it more so that’s one problem and another problem there’s so many insanities that are connected with foods feeling guilty for eating something you shouldn’t beating yourself up that whole thing just do keto consistently as long as you can and work on trying to improve your self-control with the ideal situation of eventually getting to the point where you really don’t need it you can have it but you don’t have to have it so that would be the ideal goal because you handled the physical thing and now you’re retraining yourself to have better habits with the help of some of these substitute foods that will give you similar pleasure so you get rid of your hunger you have no more cravings you’re working on self-control there’s also a point about being satisfied after a meal because some people when they eat something they feel full but they’re not satisfied they need a little something something right after that meal this has to do with doing healthy keto versus dirty keto consuming foods that are high in nutrients that will satisfy you the longer you do this the more you’re going to correct insulin resistance and you’re going to be able to absorb more nutrients because insulin resistance blocks your ability to absorb nutrients so you want to consume nutrient-dense foods you need to take certain supplements when you’re fasting of course or when you’re doing keto to enhance things b vitamins electrolytes etc and the longer you do this is going to be easier but also you may need help with some bile salts bile salts will help extract certain fat soluble vitamins and nutrients in fats to really satisfy the brain i notice that when certain people take bile salts they really get satisfied to the point where they have no hunger no cravings and they’re completely satisfied after they eat anyway those are just some tips before you go if you have a question about a product or you’re new to keto and you want to know how to begin keto or you’re on keto and you need a debug because it’s not going as smooth i have a keto consultant standing by to help you this is just for the people in the us hopefully in the future we’ll be able to answer everyone’s call but i put the number down below so you can call and get some help

I want to know which food is the most difficult for you to give up on keto—and I’ll give you a few keto tips to help too!

Dr. Berg’s Ketogenic Meal Recipe Ideas:

Timestamps
0:00 What is the food that’s the hardest to give up on keto?
0:30 The goal of keto
0:40 The problem with going off the keto program
1:50 A few keto tips

I really want to know what food is the hardest for you to give up on keto. Was it the pasta, bread, chips, popcorn, sugar desserts, rice, or potatoes? Or maybe it was something else? Comment below what the hardest food was for you to give up on keto. I really want to know!

The goal of keto is to put you in such a healthy state that occasionally going off the program will not create a big problem.

The problem with going off of the keto program is that the next day your blood sugars are off, and you’re going to want to go off more and more. It can be a slippery slope.

The other problem is that when you consume carbohydrates, you’re going to activate dopamine. Dopamine is part of the addictive circuitry that you have in your brain. Overall, healthy keto and intermittent fasting is your best option for handling the physical addictions to certain foods, especially carbs. Keto can handle your hunger and cravings, but it doesn’t handle the mental habits you might have regarding food.

A few keto tips:
1. Find substitutes for the foods you like that you can’t have on keto
2. Do keto consistently for as long as you can and work on trying to improve your self-control
3. Consume foods high in nutrients (do healthy keto versus dirty keto)
4. Take certain supplements when you’re doing keto and fasting (B vitamins, electrolytes, etc.)
5. Take bile salts

In this video, we’re going to talk about the one type of food with the highest concentration of zinc in the world.

The #1 best source of zinc is oysters. Oysters are loaded with bio-available zinc. Red meat, fish, and pumpkin seeds also contain some zinc.

25% of people are deficient in zinc. Zinc is a mineral that isn’t stored in the body—this means that you have to consume zinc-rich foods regularly to maintain sufficient zinc levels.

A zinc deficiency is difficult to diagnose—blood tests often won’t reveal a zinc deficiency. Only long-term zinc deficiencies will show up on tests.

Zinc deficiency symptoms include:
• Decreases lymphocytes
• Enlarged spleen
• Decreased response to pathogens
• Thymus atrophy
• Increased duration of infection
• Increases susceptibility to infection
• Loss of taste/smell
• Decreased wound healing.
• Low testosterone
• Increased inflammation

Aside from not consuming enough zinc-rich foods, you may also be low on zinc due to:
• Phytates (found in grains)
• Sugar
• Stress
• Infection
• Antacids (Stomach acidity helps zinc absorption)
• Malabsorption
• Liver damage
• Diabetes
• Vegan diets

The Best Food for Chronic Sinus Issue

New To Keto But Want To Grow Your Knowledge?

More specifically, you want help with The Best Food for Chronic Sinus Issue?

today we’re going to talk about the
absolute best food for chronic sinusitis
now there’s nothing worse than having a sinus problem
year-round that’s not related to allergies
all winter long you’re stuffy you can’t breathe it affects your sleeping
you keep going to the doctor trying this medication that medication
maybe you’re on steroids or now they might want to scrape the inside of your
sinuses out which could create some permanent damage what you have to
realize is that you have a very delicate mucous membrane that lines the sinuses
and you have all these friendly bacteria that are there to protect against
invaders and when that imbalance occurs many
times you have an overgrowth of fungus so this home remedy
is especially effective for fungal infections
of the sinuses there was a small study in 2012 which i’ll put a link down below
of 20 patients and they found that there is a
shift in microbes especially with this microbe right here
lactobacillus seiki and it just so happens that this friendly bacteria
happens to be in kimchi which is a korean
dish of fermented vegetables which includes fermented cabbage
radish onion garlic chili powder and ginger
and there’s a lot of different variations and different recipes for
kimchi but when you combine cabbage radish
onion garlic chili powder and ginger and you ferment
that all the phytonutrients in these vegetables will have a major
effect on pathogens antibacterial antiviral anti-fungus
anti-candida you can actually start consuming kimchi
and i wrote down some brands that have this friendly bacteria present
or you can just take this friendly bacteria as a product itself
and here’s a good brand lantos sinus probiotic powder
and fyi i’m not affiliated i don’t get any kickbacks from this company but
i have had people that had some pretty good success with it
if you decide to start consuming kimchi which i highly recommend
there’s a couple additional things you may want to try
so what you would do is you would take a little bit of the fluid from kimchi
put it in a dish and dilute it by 50% then what you do is take a q-tip
take some of the fluid and rub it into the inside of your nostrils
what that’s going to do is going to provide your mucous membranes
with this bacteria now some people can easily handle the fluid despite the
chili powder other people it may create a very warm
sensation depending on your willingness to give it
a try you might want to dilute it first and just see how it goes
apply it a few times a day over a week or two
in addition to consume kimchi to start building up
the floral diversity that you need to help fight off this fungal infection
realize that the fungus in the nose is the tip of the iceberg
the real problem is in your gut and that’s what you need to reestablish
all right guys give it a try and put your comments down below hey we’re back with another amazing
recipe no grains no sugar totally keto there’s no
suffering on keto absolutely not karen and it’s an immune
system builder absolutely you have to check this out i
think you should hurry up watch the recipe and make it yourself

2:11 Tips and tricks for sinusitis

In this video, we’re going to talk about the absolute best food for chronic sinusitis. Sinusitis is an inflammatory condition that can act like year-round allergies. It can cause:
• Stuffy sinuses
• Allergy-like symptoms
• Difficulty breathing
• Poor sleep
And numerous other sinus problems.

It’s important to understand that your sinuses are lined with a delicate membrane called the mucus membrane. You also have bacteria in your sinuses that help protect the mucus membrane from pathogens.

When there’s an imbalance of bacteria, you can develop an overgrowth of microbes, particularly fungus. The remedy we’re talking about today is going to help support the microbes that protect the mucus membrane from fungal infections.

There was a small study in 2012, which found that there’s a shift in a particular microbe with those who have sinusitis called Lactobacillus Sakei. This microbe happens to be found in kimchi, which is a Korean dish consisting of fermented vegetables, including cabbage, radish, onion, garlic, ground chili, and ginger.

Together, these ingredients have a powerful effect on pathogens. They are antifungal, antiviral, and anti-candida. The brands of kimchi that are known to have significant amounts of Lactobacillus Sakei include:
• SunJan’s
• Sinto Gourmet
• Mama-O’s Premium
• White Napa
• Farmhouse Culture
• Ozuke
• Mr. Kimchi

You can also take Lactobacillus Sakei on its own in probiotic form. Lano Sinus Probiotic Powder is one brand you can use. Keep in mind that I am not associated with these companies whatsoever, and I do not make anything from their product sales.

You can actually take some of the juice from kimchi, dilute it by 50% with water, dip a q-tip in it, and rub it on the inside of your nostrils. This will help provide your mucus membranes with Lactobacillus Sakei. Just keep in mind that the chili powder, ginger, and garlic could cause a burning sensation.

You can apply this a few times a day for a week or two. Additionally, you’ll want to consume kimchi regularly to start building up your friendly microbes.
